Mulled Cider Punch
This apple-based alternative to mulled wine is easy to make
and simple to scale up for bigger get-togethers
Serves 6, Ready in 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 litre bottle Co-op classic apple cider
- 150g Co-op Fairtrade light brown soft cane sugar
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 12 cloves
- Pared zest of 1 lemon
- 2 apples, thinly sliced
- 2 pears, thinly sliced
- 3 satsumas, thinly sliced
Method
- Put the cider, sugar, cinnamon, cloves and lemon zest in a large pan over a low heat
- Stir occasionally until the sugar has dissolved
- Add the fruit and gently simmer for 10-15 mins to allow the flavours to infuse
- Allow to cool slightly, then serve in heatproof glasses
