Your Co-op Opens a Brand-New Store in Oxfordshire Village

A brand new Your Co-op Food store has opened its doors this week (Thursday 16^th March) in Brize Norton, Oxfordshire.

The convenience store has opened on the new Brize Meadow housing estate following an investment of £510,000 from The Midcounties Co-operative, creating 15 new jobs for the local area.

The store will offer essential grocery items, from fruit and vegetables, fresh meat and flowers to a range of wines, spirits and chilled beers.

It will also be home to a Costa Coffee machine, an ATM, National Lottery and PayPoint terminals, an in-store bakery as well as offering a chilled food-to-go range and a variety of COOK frozen ready meals.

Allocated car parking will be available for customer use, including two electric vehicle charging points, and the store has also been fitted with LED lighting and energy efficient refrigerators to help reduce its impact on the environment.

As part of the store’s commitment to supporting the local community, a food bank collection point for the Carterton Food Bank will also be available, allowing customers to drop off a range of essential items needed by families in the local area.

Your Co-op is part of The Midcounties Co-operative, which is one of the largest independent UK co-operatives and is fully owned by its members. Customers at the new store will have the option of becoming a member of the Society, giving them access to exclusive deals as well as special offers from across the Your Co-op group of businesses.

Members also have a say in how the Society is run, including the work it does to support local communities in partnership with local volunteers and community groups, all of which can be easily accessed via the Your Co-op Membership app.

The investment in the new Brize Meadow store is part of Midcounties’ ongoing investment in food retail which saw the Society invest more than £3.5 million in seven new store openings last year, with five further openings planned in 2023.

The stores’ opening hours will be 7am to 10pm every day throughout the week.
