Your Co-op Opens Brand New Store in Cheltenham

A brand new Your Co-op Food store has opened its doors this week (Thursday 16^th February) in Bishop’s Cleeve, to help serve its local community.

The new convenience store has opened following an investment of £525,000 from The Midcounties Co-operative, creating 15 new jobs for the local area.

The store will offer essential grocery items, from fruit and vegetables, fresh meat and flowers to a range of wines, spirits and chilled local beers. It will also be home to National Lottery and PayPoint terminals, as well as a bakery and an Evri collection point.

In addition to all Co-op branded packaging being recyclable, the store will also offer a soft plastic recycle unit to enable shoppers to recycle soft plastics such as crisp packets and pet food pouches.

As part of the store’s commitment to supporting the local community, a foodbank collection point will also be available, allowing customers to drop off a range of essential items needed by families in the local area.

Your Co-op is part of The Midcounties Co-operative, which is one of the largest independent UK co-operatives and is fully owned by its members. Customers at the new store will have the option of becoming a member of the Society, giving them access to exclusive deals as well as special offers from across the Your Co-op group of businesses.

Members also have a say in how the Society is run, including the work it does to support local communities in partnership with local volunteers and community groups, all of which can be easily accessed via the Your Co-op Membership app.

The investment in the new Bishop’s Cleeve store is part of Midcounties’ ongoing investment in food retail, with the Society having invested more than £3.5 million in seven new store openings last year.

The stores’ opening hours will be 7am to 10pm every day throughout the week.
