New Your Co-op Food Store Opens in Blythe Valley Park

A brand-new Your Co-op Food store has opened its doors today (Thursday 10^th February), located on Blythe Valley Park in Solihull.

The convenience store has created 20 jobs for the local area and will offer essential grocery items, from fruit and vegetables and fresh meat to a range of wines, spirits and chilled beers.

It will also be home to an in-store bakery, an ATM, National Lottery terminals, a Hermes ParcelShop, and a chilled food-to-go range.

Your Co-op is part of The Midcounties Co-operative, which is one of the largest independent UK co-operatives and is fully owned by its members. Customers at the new store will have the option of becoming a member of the Society, giving them access to exclusive deals as well as special offers from across the Your Co-op group of businesses.

Members also have a say in how the Society is run, including the work it does to support local communities in partnership with local volunteers and community groups. Members can access all of this in the palm of their hand with the Your Co-op Membership app.

The new store is the first of the Midcounties’ stores to open in 2022 as part of the Society’s ongoing investment in food retail which saw a total of £3.5 million invested by the Society in 2021 and a further £5 million planned for this year.

Samantha Aldridge, store manager, said: “We’re so excited to be opening the doors of our brand-new convenience store and can’t wait to meet the local community.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming members and customers and I’m sure they’ll be impressed with the wide range of products and services we have on offer.”

The stores’ opening hours will be 7am to 10pm every day throughout the week.
